As the U.S. continues to see Covid-19 cases decline from the Delta wave, many are once again looking ahead to what the winter and subsequent months might hold in store for the pandemic. Given the high vaccination rate & multiple waves in NYC & NJ, many epidemiologists are examining both of those regions to understand what endemic Covid-19 would look like in the U.S. Portugal and Denmark have incredibly high vaccination rates of +85%, and are cautiously relaxing Covid-19 protocols.

China, on the other hand, is leaning further into its zero-covid policy, enacting stricter quarantine, lockdown, and protocols in an attempt to reach zero cases in the country. The strict policy will undoubtedly clash with the Winter Olympic Games, which takes place in Beijing less than 100 days away. Over the next few months, both of these policies will further illuminate how the world will most likely proceed with handling the pandemic.

In addition, we also cover the likelihood of another wave of infections coming on this winter. Plus a new antidepressant that has shown to prevent hospitalizations in one large study, revamped supply chain contracts to match the disruptions in global trade right now, and the impact of Covid in Australia on live entertainment.
